March 28th Tour of Aldridge Restorations in Brookville - Aldridge Restorations specialize in Packards, but they do work on other makes. Meet at the McDonalds in Brookville located at 40 Triggs Road and plan on leaving from the McDonalds at 9:45 AM for a short drive to the Aldridge facility. They are allowing 2 to 2.5 hours for our visit there. Following that visit we wlll have lunch at Rob's Restaurant, 705 Arlington Road, Brookville, Ohio and we should be seated as a group. If you are going to attend and have not signed up yet, please notify me with how many people will be coming, so I can advise both Aldridge and the restaurant how many to expect.
April 20th, Saturday Tour to Richmond, Indiana - This tour hosted by members Mike Cook and Benny Young. The tour begins in Englewood at the McDonald’s parking lot. Tour will depart 9AM and travels via US Rt. 40 to Lewisburg, OH where Mike and Benny will meet and lead the tour on back roads to Richmond. First stop is for lunch at Little Sheba’s Restaurant located in Richmond’s Depot District. After lunch we will tour the Veterans Memorial Park, then travel to the Wayne County Historical Museum (group rate price $6 ea.) and view the car displays representing seven Richmond automobile manufactures, Richmond area history and more. The tour will conclude with another car tour leading back toward Dayton areas. Expectation and schedules provide return in the Dayton area before 5PM. NOTE: Scheduled restroom breaks are as follows; Prior to the 9AM departure, 11AM arrival at restaurant and 12:30 arrival at Wayne County Historical Museum.
June 1st, Saturday Event: Model T Museum Homecoming - This event includes a tour to Richmond to attend the annual free event. Streets in the immediate area of the Museum will include a pre 1935 car show, car coral, vendors and swap meet. Enjoy free admission to the Museum and seminars. This year features seminars on the evolution of Ford cars covering the Model T to the Ford V8 - including the Model A and Model B years with cars representing those years on display. As in the past years, there will be Ford historians presenting technical details and manufacturing examples of the changes from Model T to the Ford V8. Mark this date on your calendar. Last years attendance was almost 800 and the seminars were great. More details of this event will be presented at the April club meeting.
